this represents a small collection of the world of Jamili Brown. We’ll try our best to release videos here first but sometimes Lotus, our boy in Paris will release them on his site and Youtube channel first. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we’ll have videos of us playing music, just  chilling, talking about the making of Searching for Kivvi, the EP. Enjoy!

we consider ourselves urban rock but we can’t forget our roots either. Northern Lights represents that love for music that we share as a band. Led Zepplin and Red Hot Chili Peppers are a huge influence on our music especially our live act. this song pays homage to Going to California and Road Trippin’ and their bands respectively. the video represents that feeling of ‘smoking your stuff, with my bride by my side.’ It’s also important to note that Searching for Kivvi is a concept album which is why this acoustic song can live side by side with a sonic terrain song such as Touch. In addition, listen to the female voice softly in the back. By Brigitte and provides such a lovely touch. Keiths verse really anchors the song:

Lotus interspliced this with footage of us rambling on. there’s a lot of random things going on including a conversation about teaching with Josh and our spiritual advisor Han Job lol. Random as hell. But you get some footage of us working on the song Blown and see how it comes together at practice. at the end theres a treat. ‘Alone’, the live version at practice. As we continue to finish the full concept album of Searching for Kivvi, you’’ll see how it all comes together.

so I was on my way to Paris when I got all inspired and created the outline of this song. when i came back from Paris i changed the drums, mimicking the techno influnced scene over there and added a few changes. i was so inspired being over there. the feel of the streets. the energy. the clubs. i love the view, Champs Elysees. this city has a groove that brings you my way. that trip, and feeling would be the genesis of a view tracks for Searching for Kivvi including Touch and Want You/Me. Withuout a doubt the best part is Lonnie in his verse, do you want some cock.....tails later on. hit the dance floor, grind to your favorite song. Talk about jaw dropping!
